TLLCCF Tribute Cards
The TLLCCF tribute cards, designed by artist Sam Maitin, are a great way to recognize achievements, celebrate a birth, a birthday, an anniversary, a marriage or any momentous occasion. Tribute cards are a wonderful way to honor a friend or associate, send good wishes to family or friends, or to let someone know you are thinking of them in their time of need.
To send a tribute card, make a contribution to the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation; and a beautifully handwritten card will be sent in your name, acknowledging your gift. Your contribution will be recognized in the Foundation newsletter. Please contact the Foundation to send a tribute card or to purchase a boxed set of tribute cards.
About the Artist – Sam Maitin
Sam Maitin, a long-time friend of the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation, was an internationally renowned artist known for his use of vivid colors. Although he was best-known for his printmaking, Maitin was an accomplished artist in many mediums, including abstract painting, metal and wood sculpture, murals, and two and three dimensional collages. His works are in the permanent collections of The Philadelphia Museum of Art, the National Gallery of Art, the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Tate Gallery in London, and the Klinspor Museum in Frankfort, Germany, among other fine galleries and museums.
Maitin’s passion did not stop with his art. His enduring belief that an artist is a particularly sensitive member of society prompted him over the years to support groups and activities he believed to be humane, constructive, and decent. He was a compassionate man committed to serving humanitarian causes.
Maitin died on December 23, 2004. He was a good friend to TLLCCF and is sorely missed.
The yellow rose was Terri’s favorite flower. Terri understood that children, like flowers, need careful nurturing and a gentle touch to flourish. The Foundation chose “Terri’s Rose” to symbolize her goals and ours in child care. For more information on Sam Maitin, please contact us at tllccf@childcareabc.org.
