Annual Rose Gala
The Rose Gala is an opportunity to recognize outstanding companies and individuals for their contributions to a child care. It is one of two major events held to raise funds to support our mission. The funds raised each year enable us to have a direct affect on thousands of children through the grants and awards given to child care teachers, providers and child care facilities. The grants and awards are used to improve teacher training, curriculum and/or infrastructure, which have a positive outcome for the children.
2012 Marked The Foundation's 25th year of making America better by improving early care & education for all Children
On Saturday, October 13, 2012 the Foundation celebrated at its annual Rose Gala 25 years of making America better by imporving early care and education. The 2012 Rose Gala Yearbook (please allow time to load) is a collection of moments from 2012 and our 25 year history, an awestruck tribute to our honorees, a very large thank you to our supporters that make this all possible and an homage to the child care professionals everywhere who work hard every day to develop children into well-adjusted eager learners with the best possible chance of a successful future. The new TLLCCF video succinctly tells the story of the Foundation, the work we accomplish, who benefits from our programs and highlights from our history.
The TLLCCF posthumously honored its dear friend Helene Marks, the Foundation's first executive director, with the Child Care Advocate Award presented in Memory of Anne O. Krancer. It presented its distinguished Corporate Leadership Award to Merck & Co., Inc. Merck was the first company to receive the TLLCCF's Corporate Leadership Award in 1990.
