SEI to Receive the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation
Corporate Leadership Award

SEI Credits Quality Child Care as a Major Component to Their Success

King of Prussia, PA, September 25, 2007 – The Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation (TLLCCF) to honor SEI, Oaks, PA, with its prestigious Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation Corporate Leadership Award.  SEI is the leading provider of asset management and investment technology solutions.  The company was selected to receive the award for their commitment to high-quality child care. The Award will be presented in Philadelphia at the Foundation’s 20th Annual Rose Gala on October 27, 2007.

The TLLCCF Corporate Leadership Award is presented annually to a company that exemplifies the finest among its peers in its commitment to the child care community as it relates to its employees and the community-at large.  SEI is a leading global provider of institutional and personal wealth services and is a proud supporter and promoter of quality child care, both for their employees and for the community.

Stated Chairman and CEO Alfred P. West, Jr., “Our commitment to improving the quality of early childhood education is a direct reflection of our commitment to our employees, our clients and our community. We understand the link between fully engaged employees and fully engaged clients. The positive imprint we leave on our community will create a foundation for a future workforce that is well-positioned to meet our clients’ needs for generations to come.”

SEI Workforce Development Director Alice Lindenauer stated, “SEI is proud of its record of supporting and promoting quality child care.  Quality childcare is an essential component of our success.  SEI chose to invest in its own resources - employees and community, by improving the availability and quality of childcare.  We do this to ensure the well being and productivity of our employees, the satisfaction of our clients and the wealth of our shareholders.”

  “SEI reflects the values that we identify in corporations we honor each year at our Annual Rose Gala,” Stated Allan Miller, executive director of the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation.  “Their sense of commitment to child care as it relates to their employees and the community exemplifies corporate responsibility and commitment to our nation’s children. We are proud to have SEI join our list of distinguished Corporate Leadership Award winners.”

Continued Miller, “Our Corporate Leadership Award winners all share a common factor: they know that without high-quality child care we can not remain competitive in the global market.  Studies show that high-quality child care has a positive impact on children’s learning skills, social skills and development.”

The availability of high-quality child care benefits all Americans.  It has a positive impact on children, their parents and the corporate community.  Research and studies have shown that children who have the advantage of attending high-quality child care centers are prepared to succeed in school and in life, all while saving society money on special education services and other future costs.  Parents who have access to high-quality child care are more likely to retain employment and be more productive at work.

TLLCCF has honored corporations with the prestigious Corporate Leadership Award since 1990. The Foundation will bestow its 17th Corporate Leadership Award at the gala.  Recipients of the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation Corporate Leadership Award receive an original collage by international renowned artist Sam Maitin.

Observing its 20th year of making America better by improving early care and education, the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation has dedicated its resources to improving the quality of child care for all children;

supporting and elevating the status of child care teachers and providers; raising awareness of the need for affordable, quality child care; and, partnering with business and government in making child care a priority.  TLLCCF is a nonprofit, nonsectarian 501(c)(3) organization established in 1987 in memory of Terri Lynne Lokoff, a devoted child care worker.

Proceeds from the 20th Annual Rose Gala will help to implement specific changes to improve the quality of child care for the children of Pennsylvania.
